Today I did a little experiment with JPGs, trying to form 'glitches' in the image by manipulating the code that the file is created from. If you open an image in TextEdit you can see the code and start messing with it. I cut and pasted chunks of the code from one part of the file to another, saved the file and then reopened it to see what changes it had made. I am sure there is more scientific / correct way of transforming the image data - but that was part of the fun - making small changes and seeing big shifts in the colour, alignment and tone of the image.

I think I might look into this further and see if there are any online editors or programmes to shift the images dynamically - as it does make a really interesting animation flicking through the different saved versions.
