I was looking back through some old photographs and I spotted two that were linked together. The bottom photograph was taken in Llandudno and the photograph at the top was taken in Chester. The one from Chester has been removed from the building, but you can still clearly see that it read ‘Burton’.
The full sign reads ‘Montague Burton Tailor of Taste’, which is the origins of todays ‘Burton’ clothing shops. Sir Montague Burton is thought to have coined the phrase ‘The Full Monty’.
